The Chiefs would have a couple power play opportunities and a couple 4 on 4’s in the second period but failed to score on 17 shots in the period. Darren Kramer would get a two-minute roughing penalty with 2:01 remaining, but the Chiefs were able to kill off the penalty and hold Portland scoreless after two periods of play.

The Chiefs would finally score on the power play with 6:15 remaining in the third with a goal from Anthony Bardaro.
